Today /2025.07.22/, Director-General of the Railway Authority B. Artur held a virtual meeting with the Chinese side’s implementing organization for the Zamyn-Üüd station narrow-gauge park extension and renovation project, led by Zhang Zhongping, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Huhhot Railway Foreign Economic and Technical Cooperation Group Co.,Ltd, China.

During the meeting, the sides mutually agreed to invest and cooperate in the expansion of the Zamyn-Üüd station narrow-gauge park and the construction of a new terminal, discussing and deciding on the technological solutions for the expansion and the project location. Additionally, they exchanged views on transporting coal along the Züünbayan–Tsagaantsav–Khangi–Mandulal route using mixed road and railway transport, agreed to promptly share information to ensure transport readiness, and decided to cooperate closely.

From the Mongolian side, participants included M. Onon, Head of the Transportation Management Department of the Railway Authority; L. Bulganhüü, Head of the Scientific Analysis, Technology and Research Department; representatives from “Ulaanbaatar Railway” LLC, “Mongolian Railway” SOSC, and “Mongolian Trans Line” LLC. From the Chinese side, participants included the management of Huhhot Railway Foreign Economic and Technical Cooperation Group Co., Ltd., the project manager from China Railway Design Institute Co., Ltd., and representatives from mining and road transport companies.
